The Arts Council’s Artist in the Community (AIC) Scheme, managed by Create, offers awards to enable artists and communities of place and/or interest to work together on projects.The AIC Scheme also offers an annual bursary, as well as residencies and a summer school. The aim of the AIC scheme is to encourage meaningful collaboration between communities of place and/or interest and artists.

We are hosting a zoom information session about the Artist in Community Scheme and the bursaries and awards you can apply for. This session will be with Áine Crowley who coordinates the Artist in the Community Scheme. Aine provides project and proposal advice and support, information and guidance to those interested in applying for the awards. This information session is for those working in a collaborative and socially engaged way or those interested in learning more about this way of working. Áine will be joined by artist Ruairí Ó Donnabháin, who was funded for the project Archipelagic Thinking with the community of artist in the community scheme Oileán Chléire.
