Island city urban sculpture trail tours
Join Art Historian and sculpture specialist Dr Matthew Whyte on Friday 29 November on a lunchtime walking tour of Cork’s Island City Urban Sculpture Trail! Tours are free but booking essential as places are limited – follow the link below to book. The tour will commence at 1pm at Triskel Arts Centre and last for one hour.
Comprising 5 public artworks, Island City is funded by Fáilte Ireland and the trail represents the largest single investment in public art in Cork’s history.

Guided walking tours of Island City Urban Sculpture Trail will be offered on a monthly basis from 2025 so stay tuned for updates on future tours. Tours are free, funded by Fáilte Ireland, but booking in advance via Triskel Arts Centre will be essential.

Walking tours will involve moving across the city centre, including crossing streets and mounting kerbs. While the tours welcome all participants, the nature of the route and the duration of the walking tours may prove challenging for some people with disabilities.
