Introduction to Community Collaborations
A workshop for those that are curious about the potential of connecting and collaborating with communities, this session will give a brief oversight on models of socially engaged and participatory practices, talking through case studies of real projects. Collectively we will explore steps to initiate a project, gather participants, build trust and develop engagement with a community of interest. This session is designed as an introduction for artists who are new to socially engaged practices, who are interested to find out about models of collaborations and begin thinking about how they might begin to incorporate participation in their practice.
