Call for Submissions to photobook on Irish Digital Art
Call for Submissions to photobook on Irish Digital Art
Sample-Studios, one of Ireland’s largest artist studios, is delighted to welcome submissions to a forthcoming photobook on the topic of digital art in Ireland. The finished book will operate as a visual snapshot of Irish digital art. As a print publication, the book will bring the digital art of this island to broad audiences, while also serving as an essential resource in the preservation of our digital cultural heritage.
For the purposes of this collection, digital art is understood as a piece of work or artistic practice that uses digital technologies or computation as part of its creative presentation or process. Any artist who sees their work as being connected to Ireland is welcome to submit.
The photobook will be curated and edited by James O’Sullivan and Aoibhie McCarthy
Submission requirements
The photobook will be comprised of professional quality, high-impact visualisations which represent key aspects of a particular work of digital art. Artists are invited to submit potential images alongside short descriptions of their pieces.
Images should be high-quality, print-ready files (at least 600 DPI).
Submissions should be sent to james.osullivan@ucc.ie no later than 5pm, Dec 2nd, 2022.
Potential contributors are welcome to get in touch should they wish to discuss potential submissions in advance.
