Rachel Assaf is an Arts Manager and Curator with over ten years experience in the visual arts sector, working across both Ireland and the UK. Some previous roles include the Parasol Unit Foundation for Contemporary Art and managing the studio of artist Yinka Shonibare MBE RA. After earning a First-Class Master’s degree in Art in the Contemporary World from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Rachel established her own independent advisory practice, where she supported companies and private collectors in acquiring and commissioning art. Since 2021, Rachel has been with Business to Arts, where she leads the organisation’s visual art advisory services. In this role, she works with businesses to offer practical advice and project management support, helping them develop and manage art collections, commission new works, and engage with the arts in ways that align with their business objectives. With a background that combines both artistic insight and strategic business acumen, Rachel is passionate about connecting people with art in meaningful and impactful ways.

Our Curator Visits series offers Sample-Studios members a unique opportunity to connect directly with local and international curators. Members meet with curators 1to1 to present their work, discuss their practice, and receive expert advice and guidance from prominent professionals bringing a wealth of experience, a variety of backgrounds in different arts contexts, and valuable networks.
