Member-Led Workshop – Rare Books & Photographs of UCC’s Special Collections and Archives

Join Barbara Diener, Sample-Studios member and Photographic Collections Librarian at UCC, on 23 August from 2:30-4pm in a visit to the Rare Books Reading Room in UCC Library to discover the treasures held in the Special Collections and Archives. Barbara will bring out items from the collection that might offer inspiration to visual artists of all mediums, including a selection of Alen MacWeeney’s photographs, portraits of Samuel Beckett by John Minihan, mesmerising landscape photographs, and a range of materials from 19th-century carte-de-visites to 20th-century graphic novels and 19th-century scientific illustrations to the working papers of graphic designer, Elizabeth Friedlander.
