In the first exhibition of TACTIC’s 2017 programme, since its departure from Sullivan’s Quay, TACTIC, with National Sculpture Factory, in conjunction with Cork City Council and Elizabeth Fort, we are proud to present:
Concretus: Ulterior Objects – a solo exhibition by LSAD graduate Sophie Gough.
Curated by Emily O’Flynn and TACTIC’s curatorial residency graduates Alison Fogarty (CCAD) and Dervla Mulcahy (LSAD), this exhibition is the result of TACTIC, Sample-Studios and National Sculpture Factory’s Graduate Award Residencies.
Gough’s practice is concerned with disrupting the relationships we have with familiar materials through their representation as art objects. In considering the fusion of concrete and plastic this new body of work solidifies her most recent research whilst on her residency at Sample-Studios and the National Sculpture Factory.
