Anne Marie Deacy has recently premiered new work for Magnetic Resonator Piano performed with Dr. Xenia Pestova Bennett at SARC, Belfast (2024), engaged with pioneer Michel Waisvisz’s archive in a workshop led by Tarek Atoui at the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam (2024),and has just finished residencies in The Guesthouse Project, Cork(2025), The National Sculpture Factory, Cork (2025),and an intensive atelier laboratory at the Orpheus Instituut, Ghent, Belgium and Leiden University for Creative Arts, The Netherlands (Feb -June 2025).She has showcased work nationally and internationally including exhibiting in Supermarket Art Fair, Stockholm (2024), 126 Gallery, Galway International Arts festival (2023), Oscillithic, Solstice Arts Centre, Navan (2023), Radiophrenia Festival, CCA, Glasgow (2023), Performed at Orpheus Institute, Ghent, Belgium (2025), Sonic Vigil XI Festival, The Cork Opera House (2023). Other Residencies include: CCI, Paris ( 2023 & 2025), Sím, Iceland (2024), Cill Rialaig(2016, 2026).Supported by Galway County Council, The Arts Council of Ireland, Creative Ireland, European Union & Goethe-Institut, The Henry Moore Foundation.

Anne Marie Deacy is an Irish sound artist. Her focus lies in the creation of work that explores natural and man-made systems, the fluidity of memory, energy exchanges and lost connections with the land, the other, the cosmos. Rich in its materiality, her work is informed by intensive research into philosophies of vibration, early sciences, rituals, technologies & communication structures. Her work is elaborated through participatory forms & articulated through sculpture, installation, transmission art, sonic publication, improvisation, composition and performance. Her practice has been enhanced by engagements with leading practitioners including Christina Kubisch, Chris Watson, Beatriz Ferreyra, Ernst Karel, Mark Fell, Mario De Vega, and Jana Winderan.
