My practice is predominantly focussed on drawing and painting. I am in search of an intuitive language of
interpretation and understanding of the world, external and internal. Work is the result of experiments
exploring the representation of various subjects (landscape, natural phenomena , plant or mineral) using
techniques developed over the years. The expression of an inner landscape, based on these observations, is
developed in a more or less abstract way in the studio through painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking and
writing.

Recent work featured in the Quatre Femmes – From Invisibility to Affirmation exhibition in February 2023,
incorporates imagery of archetypes related to dreams and the idea of spiritual transformation.
Recurring images such as seeds, nests, birds, rocks, ladders or the house, express among other things the
inner self and the alchemical transformation of materiality towards an incorporeal reality. Like our
relationships with objects in dreams, the scale of different archetypes wavers between miniature and
gigantic, invisibility and affirmation.

In the works presented, transformation is expressed through verticality which becomes a symbol of being.
The representation of seeds, repeated in several works, is linked to the feminine and the womb.
A predominantly monochromatic palette is used to emphasize the symbols.
Where colour is used, the choice was made according to its symbolic and alchemical meaning. The colour is
intrinsically linked to the choice of material, i.e. graphite / black (materiality),gesso / white (possibility),
sanguine / red (blood / flesh) and gold (light).
