‘When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe’
John Muir
Engaging with ecological observation, systems restoration and community events is a vital part of my life practice. I seek threads of connectivity and explore the aspects of fluid and changing interfaces and landscapes through my art practice. It can be at times difficult to defy inbuilt systemic routes when it comes to art supplies, oil paints or new canvases. I avoid toxic materials and fossil fuels when possible and focus on sculptural resources such as invasive species as well as seaweed, coppiced wood and found or reused items.
