I view my practice as being multi-disciplinary in nature. Primarily addressing themes of memory, power and control, while simultaneously embracing aspects of absurdity and humour.
Work is typically generated by a found object or image.
This singular object/image will lead me to search for companion pieces, items that are sympathetic to each other in some way. And so, a collection of disparate or similar objects will form; and a consistent narrative will begin to emerge.
Ultimately, I am interested in the potentiality of materials, in re-inventing items that have been discarded, and devalued. These objects/images speak to me of past existences and possible futures, and in the infinite possibility of new constructions and re-invented identities.
