My work is rooted in everyday life — the landscape around me, familiar objects in the home, and the quiet moments in between. I paint mostly in acrylic on wood, using bright colours, simple forms, and an intuitive process. My paintings often feature landscapes with houses or buildings, but I also explore still life — things like houseplants, a glass of water, or a few pills on a table. These ordinary scenes often carry emotional weight and tell small, personal stories.
I’m drawn to themes of connection, distance, memory, and belonging. Even when the subject shifts between a wide horizon and a kitchen windowsill, I’m looking for the same feeling — something a little tender, a little off-kilter, and open to interpretation.
Over time, my work has become more abstract and playful. I enjoy layering colour and shape, letting things emerge slowly. I also create handwoven wall hangings, which share the same love of texture, colour, and quiet rhythm.
In all my work, I try to make space for the viewer to pause, reflect, or simply enjoy the small details.
