Sample-Studios in partnership with Cork College of FET, Douglas Street Campus, invites our members to apply for our summer residency programme at Art, Craft, & Design department’s new home in St John’s College, Douglas Street. This is a unique opportunity for artists to have free access to a fully equipped large studio space on the campus during the summer months.
The residency will take place from 9 June to 15 August, and we welcome applications from artists who are interested in using this time to develop their practice in a focused way, experiment with new techniques, and make use of the visual arts facilities found on campus. To apply, please submit the following: Artist CV (max 2 pages), Artist Statement (Max 300 words), a Statement of Intent outlining the reasons for your interest in the residency (Max 400 words) and a maximum of 6 images of recent work, including images, videos, or links to online platforms.
