Dr Matthew Whyte is an art historian, educator, and arts manager holding a Master’s and PhD in History of Art from University College Cork. He joined Sample-Studios in 2024. As Development Manager, Matthew oversees stakeholder development and partnerships, fundraising, and manages Sample-Studios’ communications. Matthew has lectured in History of Art in UCC since 2014 and Programme Coordinator of the Diploma in European Art History in UCC’s Adult Continuing Education department from 2017-2024. He has worked in cultural tourism, leading tours of art and heritage sites internationally. He also served as a Facilitator and Guide in the Crawford Art Gallery, where he contributed to the Gallery’s education and outreach programmes.
